Jeff Seid Interview by Muscle-Base

Jeff Seid

How and why did you get into Bodybuilding?

What really started me out was a passion for being different than everyone else. I hate even the thought of being normal. Luckily I had the same mentality when I was at a young age and started doing what I love. My inspiration was started by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Seeing him and hearing of his life really got me started in what I continue to do today. Being in sports helped keep me with bodybuilding. At first, I started out so to be like no one else, but now bodybuilding to me as evolved too far greater heights. Training is a necessity in my life now. I could in no way imagine life without the gym and dieting.

What advice would you give to people looking to achieve your Aesthetic Physique?

Never make the gym a second choice. It is a priority. Mandatory to you achieving your goal physique. Go get a gym partner who has the same mentality on what your goals are, and through each other make it a reality. Follow a solid diet and always switch up your workouts. Switching up your workouts is essential to growth.

As a Natural Bodybuilder, what are your opinions on Image / Performance enhancing drugs?

It doesn’t really concern me what other people are doing. I know why I do what I do, doesn’t matter what someone else does. If they think they need it, more power to them.

Tell us more about your fitness journey and how you got all the way to the top as the Teen Fitness Model.

Well, it all started with me tearing my ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) my 2nd football game my senior year. At the time it was a very devastating experience. But I always kept my head up and looked at the positives in life. It was a very tough time in life, with other personal things going on. I heard about the fairly new Mens physique category in bodybuilding shows and knew this was just another way to continue my competing nature. Well after winning the overall at my first show, things just started to go my way and I’ve been loving life ever since.

Have you ever had any obstacles in your fitness journey?

Yeah, tearing my ACL was a huge deal in my life. I actually re-tore it and had surgery a month ago. Recover has been good, training for the USA’s currently so it has been a slight step back. But oh well. Shit happens. Gotta look at the positives and keep a good look at things.

Where does your motivation come from?

If you would have asked me this question a couple of years ago, my answer would have been to impress people. Now my motivation comes from not being able to live life without training, dieting, etc. It is all a lifestyle now and I am so glad I started all of this at such a young age. Wouldn’t want to live life any other way.

For a 17-year-old, you look insanely shredded! What’s your secret?

Hehe, thanks(; Well I’ve been training since I was 12. So it’s been a solid 5 years. Along with year-round sports and eating healthy all have really helped me in achieving my body. Shout out to my parents for these insane genetics. A little training secret Is to never do the same workout two weeks in a row. Never!! There is no point. Always switch it up. Keep your muscles guessing. Keep your muscles growing. I think of my workout driving to the gym or when I get there. Once you figure out what works for you, just go along with that. Everyone is different. Good luck in acquiring your aesthetic physiques.

Do you use any Bodybuilding supplements?

Yes, I do! Supplements, in my opinion, are a huge deal in reaching your physique goals. They help out tremendously, here is a list of supplements I am currently using and why:

100% Whey Gold Standard Protein  – Low in fat and carbs, but insanely high in protein. Exactly what you need in putting on lean muscle.

Xtend BCAA’s  –  Helps you build muscle, burn fat and recover faster! Great intra-workout.

Con-Cret- Micro dosed Creatine –  This is the new formula of creatine and currently working best for me.

Multi-Vitamin  – Any multivitamin works. I am currently using Opti-Men.

Fat Burners  – D4 at the moment! Fat burners really help if you’re unable to get your cardio in. Burns fat while keeping muscle.

Do you enjoy being in the fitness industry?

I love being in the fitness industry. It is such a rewarding industry and I have met so many people. It truly has been a great experience that I don’t plan on ending any time soon. It is a great feeling knowing that I am being productive with my life.

Any Pro Bodybuilders or Fitness Models whom you look up to?

I really look up to Arnold Schwarzenegger. He played life the right way and is continuing to play live right. My respect for Arnold Schwarzenegger is incredible.

What are your long term goals?

My main long term goal is to become recognized worldwide for my accomplishments in life and live with no regrets. I have a long ways to go before I complete any of my long term goals, but I like to tell myself I am going in the right direction.
